Three standards we don't move on
Clause 1
Fruiting body, never mycelium on grain
Mycelium is the root network, and it's usually grown on grain and sold with the grain still in it. It's cheaper per kilogram, and it isn't what the published research is about. Every mushroom in every Brewlune blend is a fruiting-body extract — hot-water extracted, and dual-extracted for reishi, whose triterpenes need alcohol to come out.
Clause 2
No proprietary blends
A proprietary blend is a legal way to print one number instead of four. A bag can say “2,000mg mushroom blend” and never tell you whether that's 1,900mg of one thing and a pinch of the rest. We print every species and every milligram separately. Dawn Patrol's add to 1,500mg — and you can see exactly where all 1,500 go.
Clause 3
The dose goes on the front
Not the back panel. Not a QR code. Not a landing page. The same spec placard, at the same proportions, on the front of every bag — and if a number ever changes, the bag and the site change together.
The palate, deposed
What it actually tastes like
Mushroom coffee has a reputation, and it's mostly earned. Most of the category tastes like the mushrooms are winning.
Ours don't. The coffee blends are roasted arabica first — cocoa on the medium roast, a diner-cup edge on the dark — with the extracts as a background note you'd miss if nobody told you. It is not indistinguishable from a good pour-over, and we're not going to tell you it is.
Milk behaves: it holds up in oat and dairy without clumping, because there's no MCT oil or coconut-milk powder in the way.
No sweeteners, no flavoring. If it tastes good it's because the coffee is good.

+Is it Brewlune or Brewline?
Brewlune — sometimes misspelled as Brewline. Brewlune is the instant mushroom coffee brand at brewlune.com, and it is not affiliated with Brew Line Coffee (the Chicago roaster), Brewline Cafe & Bar in Portland, or The Brewline video game. If the bag doesn't print every dose on the front, it isn't ours.
+Is Brewlune fruiting body or mycelium?
Fruiting body, in all four blends, with no exceptions. Mycelium grown on grain is cheaper and is sold with the grain still in it, and it is not what the published research studies.
+How much caffeine is in Brewlune?
Between 0 and 95mg per serving depending on the blend. Point Break has 95mg, Dawn Patrol 48mg, Glassy 40mg, and Last Light has no added caffeine (cacao carries a 2–10mg trace). For reference, a standard 8oz cup of drip coffee is roughly 95mg.
+What's in each blend?
Dawn Patrol and Point Break each contain 500mg lion's mane, 400mg cordyceps militaris, 300mg chaga, and 300mg reishi per serving. Glassy has 500mg lion's mane and 400mg cordyceps. Last Light has 600mg reishi, 300mg chaga, and 200mg magnesium glycinate. All mushroom doses are fruiting-body extracts, printed on the front of the bag.
+Does it taste like mushrooms?
No. Each blend tastes like a smooth, slightly earthy version of its base — coffee, matcha, or cacao — with the extracts as a background note, not the flavor. It is not indistinguishable from a good pour-over, and we're not going to tell you it is. No sweeteners, so it tastes like what it is.

Last Light is built for the evening: no added caffeine, only the 2–10mg trace that cacao naturally carries, plus about 100mg of theobromine. The other three blends contain between 40 and 95mg and are not.
