Where the ingredients actually come from

Brewlune runs a component supply chain: we buy finished, certified ingredients from named suppliers and blend them, rather than sourcing from farms we contract directly. The mushroom extracts come from Real Mushrooms — produced by Nammex, grown and wildcrafted in mountain regions of China, certified organic. The arabica in Dawn Patrol is Mount Hagen's Fairtrade and organic-certified coffee from Papua New Guinea. Point Break's dark roast is Death Wish's Fair Trade and USDA Organic arabica-robusta blend. Glassy's matcha is Jade Leaf's organic ceremonial grade from Uji and Kagoshima, Japan. Last Light's cacao is Navitas Organics' Fairtrade, organic criollo from small family farms in Peru.

That's the whole model. The certifications belong to the suppliers, at the component level; Brewlune itself holds none yet, has no direct farm relationships, and makes no sustainability claims it can't hand you a certificate for. The table below names every supplier so you can check each cell yourself — the same reason the doses ride on the front of the bag.

Where does Brewlune source its coffee and mushroom extracts?

What certifications does Brewlune's supply chain hold?

USDA Organic: Grown and processed without prohibited synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, verified by an accredited certifier. Held by every component here except the magnesium.
Fairtrade / Fair Trade certified: Minimum-price and premium standards for producers, audited by a certifying body. Mount Hagen and Navitas carry the Fairtrade mark; Death Wish is Fair Trade certified. The two programs differ in auditor, not intent — we print each supplier's own designation.
Smithsonian Bird Friendly: A shade-grown habitat certification for coffee. No component in any Brewlune blend holds it. Listed because leaving out the certification you don't have is how this category usually handles it.

What we don't have

Brewlune itself holds no certifications. The organic and fair-trade marks above belong to our component suppliers, at the component level. We print the distinction because blurring it is the standard trick.

No direct farm relationships and no farmgate pricing to report. We buy finished, certified components; we do not contract farms. If that changes at launch scale, the names go here.

No carbon program, no offset purchases, no packaging claim beyond what the bag physically is. When there is a number, it will be printed; until then there is no adjective standing in for one.

Questions, answered plainly

+Where does Brewlune source its coffee?

From two named suppliers. Dawn Patrol's arabica is Mount Hagen — Fairtrade and USDA Organic certified, grown in Papua New Guinea. Point Break's dark roast is Death Wish Coffee's instant, a Fair Trade certified and USDA Organic blend of arabica and robusta sourced from India, Peru, and Central and South America.

+Where are Brewlune's mushrooms grown?

In mountain regions of China, grown and wildcrafted — and we print that plainly because almost nobody in this category does. The extracts are Real Mushrooms products, produced by Nammex, certified organic, fruiting-body only, and tested for heavy metals and contaminants. Origin honesty is cheaper than origin vagueness.

+Is Brewlune certified organic?

No — and the distinction matters. Every component except the magnesium is certified organic at the supplier level (Real Mushrooms, Mount Hagen, Death Wish, Jade Leaf, Navitas), but Brewlune as a brand holds no certification of its own yet. Blurring supplier certification into brand certification is the standard trick; we print the difference instead.

+Is Brewlune's coffee fair trade?

At the component level, yes: Mount Hagen carries the Fairtrade mark, Death Wish is Fair Trade certified, and the Navitas cacao in Last Light is Fairtrade as well. Brewlune holds no fair-trade certification itself — the marks belong to the suppliers, which is exactly why we name them.

+Why name your suppliers at all?

Because a sourcing claim you can't check is just an adjective. Naming Real Mushrooms, Mount Hagen, Death Wish, Jade Leaf, and Navitas means every certification and origin on this page can be verified on the supplier's own site — the same reason the doses ride on the front of the bag. It also hands competitors our recipe. We think the trade is worth it.
